Lewis on May 15, 1909.  The firm operated as "Frank E. Lewis, Funeral Director" until 1947 when a partnership was formed with Vernon E. Larremore and the firm name was changed to the Lewis Funeral Home.</div> <bR> <div> In 1960, Frank E. Lewis passed on and the business became a sole proprietership under the leadership of Vernon E. Larremore.  Mr Larremore operated the business until his passing in 1989.</div> <bR> <div> In 1960, Mr Robert Washington, Jr., prior to his graduation from Commonwealth College of Mortuary Science had become a member of the firm.  He is now a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer, certified by the State Board of Morticians and is presently the firm's owner, manager, and operator.
